Camora Basement opened because the regulars at Rustaveli started staying after their cut. We pushed the chairs aside, brought down a turntable, found a sound guy who owed us a favor, and never closed it again.
It is small. It is loud on the right nights, quiet on the others. There is no menu of cocktails with names that try too hard — there is whiskey, there is wine, there is something on tap, and the bartender knows what to do with all of it.
Vinyl every Friday. Live music most Saturdays. Sundays are quieter — that is when the off-duty barbers come down. The wall of photographs continues down here, slightly more compromising.
Wed to Sun, from 20:00. Door's open, music's already playing. If it's full, the door is heavy — push harder.
